Ja Morant got suspended for the first 25 games of the 2023-24 season for what the NBA termed conduct detrimental to the league. This is Morant’s second suspension of the calendar year after he was suspended for eight games earlier in March during the second half of last season.
Why did Ja Morant get suspended?
The NBA announced that Ja was suspended for the first 25 games of the 2023-24 season pursuing a May 14 Instagram Live video clip where Morant flashed a gun. The NBA described the suspension as a result of conduct detrimental to the league.
Morant got suspended eight games in March for harmful behavior to the league after Morant allegedly flashed a gun on Instagram Live in a Colorado club. Morant registered a counselling program in Florida after the suspension.
